We provide the framework- you give the details. You know more about your community than we ever will. Champion your community and tell us what’s great!
We are always culturally responsive and respectful, but we’re not perfect. If there is something that you find offensive, let us know! Not only will we make it right, but we will also make a point of learning more about why from your perspective.

We’re people too! As the site grows and more communities are added, more people get involved, and things get more complicated. We will keep you up-to-date on what’s going on here at Community Compass Canada!
Community Compass Canada began as an idea in 2015 after we made a video about Brampton for YouTube. We had so much traffic on that video from across Canada and worldwide. We were shocked! Then we started getting questions from folks who wanted to know more because they were thinking of moving to Brampton. What were the schools like? What was it like to live there?
That was our Aha! Moment: there was nothing standardized, nowhere we could send them to help them learn about different communities and neighbourhoods, especially if they could not visit the community themselves.
That Aha moment grew. We knew we wanted to make something great that would help to bring the details of the communities we serve together in one place. We especially wanted to focus on Canadians who have been forced out of their hometowns and don’t know where to live next and New Canadians and immigrants who want to find the perfect place to live.
And that’s when Community Compass Canada was born – a platform to make learning about Canadian communities easier. We want to help anyone who wants to learn more about Canada and each unique community access a reliable, safe, and community-driven platform from wherever they are in the world.
As an Ontario resident, my goal is to strengthen my community through education and information. Community Compass Canada serves as a resource which captures the essence of each community in its own unique way.
Showing people the amazing features that exist in their own backyards through the lens of a drone is both entertaining and informative. I created Community Compass Canada to provide an interactive resource for those looking to explore places in the country we’re proud to call home!
